Webblog (blog) is an online journal
someone who can keep updated with words, ideas / thoughts easily via
software. Anyone who can type, copy and paste to create and maintain a blog.
Users can also customize the layout and even add a picture to add to the
appeal. Webblog also interactive so readers can respond to each entry with
comments and discussion. Webblog seems to have made it first appearance at July
1999 ( Blood,2000 ) even though webblog have been in existence since the very
beginning of worl wide web ( Winer, 2002 ). There are three possible way that
webblog could be put to immediate use with ESL :

The tutor blog
·
The learner blog
·
The class blog
One of the main
issues to consider when looking for software webblog is necessary or not its installation.
Another important issue is the cost. Sign-up
is very simple and only requires an email address . After knowing the type and software necessary,
hopefully there is attention of
other practitioners to both the potential that weblogs have to support
classroom-based ESL learning and the ease with which an ESL blogging project
could be started.
