WEBBLOG

Webblog (blog) is an online journal someone who can keep updated with words, ideas / thoughts easily via software. Anyone who can type, copy and paste to create and maintain a blog. Users can also customize the layout and even add a picture to add to the appeal. Webblog also interactive so readers can respond to each entry with comments and discussion. Webblog seems to have made it first appearance at July 1999 ( Blood,2000 ) even though webblog have been in existence since the very beginning of worl wide web ( Winer, 2002 ). There are three possible way that webblog could be put to immediate use with ESL :

·         The tutor blog

·         The learner blog

·         The class blog 

One of the main issues to consider when looking for software webblog is necessary or not its installation. Another important issue is the cost. Sign-up is very simple and only requires an email address . After knowing the type and software necessary, hopefully there is attention of other practitioners to both the potential that weblogs have to support classroom-based ESL learning and the ease with which an ESL blogging project could be started.

Ketapang Kalimantan Barat

My hometown is a nice place to stay. First, there are many natural tourism places that can be visited in my hometown. We can visit " Pulau Sawi " , " Hutan Kota " and " Air Terjun Beruak " .  Second, we can play while learning about the history in " Keraton Kerajaan Matan Ketapang". It is the place where people can see pictures of king who had led Ketapang. Third, people can enjoy a typical food like " Kepah " or " Ale - ale ". Besides the typical food, people also can eat " Masakan Padang " and many more food in my hometown.

Biography

MAGDALENA AMONG

This is a short biography of Magdalena Among . She was a teacher in my senior high school .

Magdalena Among was born on August 1971 in Senduruhan . It is in western Borneo . She finished her study at Sekolah Pendidikan Guru in 1991 . She got a scholarship and she continued her study in Sanata Dharma University , Yogyakarta . In that university , her major was History Education . She was the only one student from Borneo in her major at that time . After she passed various challenges in the university , she graduated in 1995 .

After she graduated , she couldn’t return to Borneo . The money that she had was not enough to buy a ticket . She continued her job in her campus library . Then , she returned to Borneo in 1996 . She received a job from Pangudi Luhur foundation . She was asked to become a teacher . She was a history teacher . She was also scoutmaster in Saint John senior high school .

At the same year she returned to Borneo , she married with Lukas and she got two childern . Something happened after their married . Her husband stopped working because of illness . Because of that condition , she swapped roles with her husband .

In 2013 , she decided to divorce her husband . Although she struggled alone , she didn’t give up . She always tried to do her best for her family . She collected money and slowly built her house .

She managed to restore her situation for the better . She was the person who can motivate us to never give up . She is a wonderful woman .

Narative Poem

HEAVEN

They said that heaven was so far
that happiness was expensive
but I remembered my childhood
in the fact , that's not right

We sat at terrace
enjoyed a cup of tea
ate a cake made by mom
and laughed my dad joked

We watched tv at night
debate about the film
tried to be an actor
and laughed again and again

We didn't need much money
we were not some perfect person
because family was heaven
and togetherness is happiness
